It’s Been a While: A Reflection on the Journey

Hello, everyone! It’s hard to believe that our last blog post was back in March 2020, just as we were beginning to feel the serious ramifications of COVID-19. At that time, like many others, we had no idea how much our world was about to change. The past four years have been a whirlwind as we navigated the challenges brought on by the pandemic while continuing to run our house cleaning service here in the Triangle. I’m finally taking a moment to reflect and reconnect with all of you.

Adapting to the New Normal

One of the most significant challenges we faced during the pandemic was trying to keep our employees working while ensuring the safety of both our customers and staff. We had to adjust quickly, making sure that our employees had all the personal protective equipment they needed, such as masks and gloves. Although we pride ourselves on being a green cleaning company, we recognized the need to incorporate stronger sanitizers to effectively combat COVID-19 in our clients’ homes.

This shift was not easy for us, but it was necessary. Balancing our commitment to eco-friendly practices with the pressing need for enhanced disinfection was a delicate act. We were incredibly thankful to have such a supportive customer base during this time. In fact, some customers went above and beyond, volunteering to continue paying for their cleanings even when, due to lockdowns, we were unable to perform our services. Their generosity was truly touching and provided much-needed financial stability for our employees during those uncertain times.

Growth, Stabilization, and Improvement

As the world slowly began to adapt to the new normal, so did we. The post-pandemic era brought its own set of challenges, but it also offered opportunities for growth and improvement. Thankfully, the majority of our customers returned to regular service, and we’ve spent the last four years enhancing every aspect of our business.

One of the areas where we’ve made significant strides is in improving our customer experience. Quality cleaning has always been our top priority, but we also pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service beyond just the cleaning itself. To that end, we introduced SMS arrival notifications, a feature that many less professional house cleaning services might not offer. This technology allows our customers to receive a text when our cleaning crew is on the way, giving them ample time to prepare their homes or simply be aware of our arrival. This added convenience has been well-received, as it provides our clients with greater flexibility and control over their schedules.

In addition to SMS notifications, we’ve implemented a Client Hub—a personalized online portal where our customers can view and manage their upcoming work. This portal has streamlined the process of approving quotes, checking appointment details, making payments, and even printing receipts. Customers can now sign up for credit card payments directly through the portal, eliminating the need to provide us with their credit card information over the phone. This upgrade not only enhances convenience but also ensures that our clients’ payment information is handled securely.

Fleet Upgrades: A Commitment to Efficiency and Safety

Another key improvement we’ve made is upgrading our fleet of vehicles. Given the amount of driving we do, having an efficient and reliable fleet has always been of utmost importance to us. Our vehicles should reflect our company values of being environmentally friendly, so we recently replaced several older models with brand new, fuel-efficient Toyota Corollas. These new cars not only get excellent gas mileage but are also equipped with safety features, ensuring that our staff can travel safely to and from customers’ homes.

We’re proud to say that our fleet is now more efficient and sustainable than ever before. Our customers can depend on us to arrive on time, thanks to our well-maintained vehicles, which are also less prone to breakdowns. Plus, all our cars are clearly marked with our company graphics and logo, making them easy to identify when we arrive at your home.

Looking Ahead: Continuing Our Journey

As we move forward, I’m committed to keeping this blog more active and sharing our journey with you. We’re excited about the future and the possibilities it holds. One of our current goals is to win the News & Observer’s “Raleigh’s Best” competition for house cleaning services. We’ve won similar awards in the past, including several from Indy Week’s “Best of the Triangle,” and we’re hopeful that our continued commitment to excellence will earn us this new accolade as well. More will be revealed in late October.

We’re always looking for ways to make our service as convenient and reliable as possible. Whether it’s through technological advancements, like the SMS notifications and Client Hub, or our ongoing commitment to eco-friendly practices and efficient operations, we strive to leave every home cleaner than our competitors.
